If you really think about it, we use quite a few different beauty products on a daily basis. But have you ever stopped to really think about whether you’re actually using the right beauty products? You know we’re all about beauty products and incorporating them to help you reach your beauty goals and needs. But, if you’re not using the right products you’re not maximizing on all the time, effort and money you’re spending on them. We thought we would share some of the common signs you’re using the wrong products so you can begin to evaluate your own beauty products.
You’re Not Getting The Results You Want
Whether it’s with your hair care products or skin care, if you’re using products and not seeing much on the results that you’re looking for, it’s a definite sign they’re not the right products for you. It can be because of a number of reasons, primarily because they may not be the best fit for your hair or skin type. When using hair and skin care products it’s crucial to be sure that you’re using products that have been formulated to work with your specific needs and type.
You’re Very Dry
Much like the two mentioned above, this can go for skin and/or hair. Experiencing a lot of dryness in either or both areas, is another sign that your products aren’t working for you. In general, experts suggest that when you experience a lot of dryness in your hair or skin from products it can be because the products are stripping these areas of the natural oils too much – almost like over exfoliating. While we don’t want an excess of oils, we also don’t want our hair/skin to be lacking too much of its natural oils.
Your Skin is Sensitive
Another major sign that you’re using the wrong products is that if you notice that your skin is becoming very sensitive. Sometimes using products that aren’t the best for you and your skin’s needs can result in your skin becoming sensitive due to the irritation from the products. If you’re noticing that your skin is sensitive after using certain products, it’s a tall tale sign it may not be the best product for you.
You’re Very Oily
This can be with your hair and/or skin as well, if you find that your skin or hair is really oily it’s another sign that you could be using the wrong products for yourself. Typically, if you’re experiencing oiliness in either area of your beauty routine, it’s because the products you’re using may not be giving your hair/skin enough moisture or hydration so they begin to develop oil to try to compensate.
Your Hair is Frizzy
Similar to sensitive skin, if you begin to notice that your hair is becoming more and more frizzy without much of an explanation it could be because of your hair care products. Typically our hair becomes frizzy when it’s lacking moisture or hydration, so it may be time to re-evaluate your hair care products if your hair is frizzy.
