It’s the season of developing that gorgeously sun-kissed look on our skin. There’s nothing quite like having that natural glow in your skin during the summer months. During your childhood years you’re able to get that sun-kissed look pretty easily, when you spend a lot of time outdoors during the sunny months. But as we grow up, we’re not able to get that natural sun-kissed look from the sun. That or we grow up to realize the natural sun-kissed look isn’t so healthy for our skin later in life. Either way, you can score a sun-kissed look without the sun. Really! We’ve discovered some secrets to do it…
Use Self-tanning Lotion
Likely one of the more obvious, and well known, methods to scoring a sun-kissed look without the sun is by using a self-tanning lotion. Self-tanning lotions got a bad rap when they first came out. They were always known to give users streaky, orange skin. Fortunately, self-tanning lotions have come a LONG way with advanced formulations. Now, thanks to the improvements that have been made it’s incredibly easy to find a formula that gives you a nice natural sun-kissed look. The key is to apply these lotions evenly and to skin that’s well moisturized.
Bring Blush into the Mix
Blush hasn’t been quite as popular among the beauty bloggers and vloggers of the world, or it doesn’t seem that way at least. Blush is another beauty product that has a negative connotation to it, if you remember the blush looks of the 80’s and 90’s that is. But when blush is applied right, blended properly and done in a very natural way it can help you get that gorgeously sun-kissed look. Keep in mind that a little blush goes a long way, so you really don’t need to apply a lot of color in order to get that glow. Adding just a bit to the apples of your cheeks and blending it into the rest of your makeup will create that warmth in your skin that we all love about sun-kissed looks.
Don’t Forget the Bronzer
Of course we can’t forget about bronzers! Bronzing makeup products are (obviously) a major go to for scoring that sun-kissed look without the sun. These makeup products literally add the bronzyness that’s associated with sun-kissed glows right to your skin-without stepping foot in the sun. The best way to get that natural sun-kissed look with a bronzer is applying the bronzer in the shape of a 3 on your face. Focusing on distributing the product to your forehead, down to your cheekbones and then to the jawline. This allows you to place the bronzer to the areas of your face where the sun naturally hits, giving you that natural sun-kissed look. Of course, don’t forget to blend, blend, blend! Blending is essential to make sure that you don’t have any harsh lines that create an unnatural look.
