Beauty can be a complicated area of any woman’s life. Let’s be honest with ourselves here, we all have a tendency of making things a bit more complicated than they need to be, especially when it comes to our beauty routines. Whatever side of the spectrum you’re on with your beauty routine, we believe in keeping things as simple as possible. And we feel that when you have some of the basics down it can help you look and feel your best. We’re sharing our five simple beauty rules to live by to get you thinking about the simplicity of a solid beauty routine.

More Isn’t More
It’s easy to get caught up in the skin care and beauty world with all the different products, techniques and treatments available. We have more options now than ever before and it’s easy to feel like more is more and we need to do and use it all to have beautiful skin, hair, nails and beauty. But the truth is, more isn’t more. There’s a lot to sticking to solid basics with your beauty routines, using the products that really work and doing them well is much more powerful than using any and everything.

Use the Right Products
Taking things a step further, when streamlining and really sticking to a few basic products it’s essential that those products/treatments/techniques that you are using are the right products for you. Not all products are created for every skin/hair type. It’s incredibly important to make sure the products you are using are formulated to work with your skin and/or hair type. This will also be much more powerful than focusing on using a lot of different products.

Keep Your Diet in Check
So many experts are continuing to stress the importance of what we put IN our bodies and how it impacts our beauty and skin. Everything about our bodies really does stem from what we actually put in our bodies. If you’re not already, one of the simple beauty rules to live by has to be to keep your diet in check. That means avoiding a lot of processed foods, sugars and alcohol.

Be Consistent
It can definitely be difficult to stick with a beauty routine, between hair, skin and nails it can be a lot. But just incorporating certain techniques and products every once in a while isn’t going to help you keep your beauty routines healthy and happy. Consistency is essential if you want to make the most of your efforts.

Try New Things
Of course keeping your beauty routines healthy are important, we also think it should be something that you can have fun with! Even if you’re trying a new makeup color, or way to style your hair. Your beauty is just that…YOUR beauty. Try new products or techniques every once in a while you may be surprised at what works for you and you enjoy the results of.
